RA-03-0016: Throttle Pedal Lever - Incorrect Material Specification

Applies to

V12 Vantage (2009-2018), DB9 (2004-2016), DBS (2007-2012), V8 Vantage (2005-2017), Rapide (2010-2012), Virage (2011-2012).

VIN applicability: Refer to Appendix "A".

Years beside model names identify production generations, not confirmed affected years. For a specific car, confirm the VIN with Aston Martin or an authorised specialist. Do not assume every vehicle in the model family is affected.

Issue and owner context

Aston Martin is recalling certain model year DB9, Virage, V8 Vantage, V12 Vantage, and Rapide vehicles manufactured from May 14, 2012, through April 10, 2013. Due to a manufacturing error, the throttle pedal arm may break.

Aston Martin's repair

Aston Martin will notify owners, and dealers will replace the throttle pedal assemblies. The recall began July 19, 2013.
